ABOUT ME, JOSEPH RAMOS

Joseph Ramos is generally an average English student who in the past has had small difficulties in areas such as comprehension; he does not struggle but sometimes does not clearly and fully understand the true meaning/message that is meant to come across in what he is reading. Joseph is quite confident in most areas of English and in the past has been told that he writes quite well.At the age of seven Joseph entered the 'Young Australian poets' competition for school, and came third place out of many other young Australia’s around Australia.

Joseph may seem to be a decent English student although his biggest weakness would have to be comprehension, this is most likely due to the fact that if he had the choice to read, he would most likely choose not to, simple because he would rather much prefer to go out and socialise with his mates, or kill time on the computer.

To be honest Joseph did not complete one book during the summer holidays, instead Joseph went out with his mates. If Joseph was told to read during the summer holidays he would of, although he took the time out because he had read several novels during the past holidays.

Although he does not read much, Joseph has developed into quite a good reader over the past years as he was made to read quite a number of books for English. He did not particularly like it, but done so anyway as Joseph is the type of character who will do anything if needed to even though he does not find it particularly fun. He will read if he needs to read.

Books such as 'A Series Of Unfortunate Events' are the types of books he likes to read. Joseph will much rather prefer reading articles about someone or something. He find's biography's and articles about people very interesting and enjoys to read when it comes to that sort of thing. Other books such as the Lord Of The rings and the Hobbit are quite boring according to Joseph and dislikes reading novels like them.

Over the past couple of years Joseph has really enjoyed working in groups for English tasks and assignments. Joseph has enjoyed preparing things such as interviews, and all sorts of other group work given to him. He has found it a lot of fun and much enjoyed it. Joseph does not hate but dislikes things such as analysing books, only because of the fact that he is not the best at comprehension, and sometimes finds it difficult to answer particular questions about a novel.

Joseph does not mind the writing aspect of English, although he may sometimes forget to punctuate his writing, and sometimes finds it difficult to express himself on paper.
